God's presence is always available; all we have to do is access it in every moment because the presence doesn’t just come to us, but we become conscious of it. He is always there. Jesus states in Matthew 18:20:
“For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”
Jesus simply says, “I am there in the midst of them,” further proving that we awaken to the presence. We access Him through our consciousness when we actively seek God’s face. We do this through praise and worship; meditating on His Word and when we allow Him to saturate us with His love. This is how we will be present in His Presence.
What is the Presence of God?
In His presence, it’s impossible to feel any brokenness because His presence overwhelms our senses causing euphoria and nothing in existence can take this encounter away. Each encounter with God is successive, shaping us into who He says we are. In His presence, you’ll also get to meet the real you.
The presence of God is not a feeling. It is a reality we can live in daily. In this reality lies our future, and our future is now because there is no other access to it outside of the present moment. This reality is about cultivating an active relationship with God. It has nothing to do with religious traditions. Instead, it is direct communion with Him.

Practicing the Presence:
“We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord. —2 Corinthians 5:8”
Being absent from the body allows us to be present with the Lord so that we aren’t run by emotions, life events, or compulsive thoughts. Being present in God, we find the Holy Spirit. And when we stay in unbroken fellowship with God, we’re guided by His thoughts and purposes so we can live from a place of true power.
Jesus promised us the presence of the Holy Spirit. We can only unwrap this promise when we’re God-conscious. This is where freedom lies:
“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom” 2 Corinthians 3:17.
The beautiful part is that God’s presence exists in everything because He is omnipresent and He holds all of creation together (Colossians 1:17).
Benefits of God’s presence:
God wants us to have an abundance of life where the emotional quality and overall quality of our lives have no deficits. He also wants us to have abundance in life where we have no lack because we allow Him to be our Shepherd (Psalm 23). We will need the manifest presence of God to experience abundant life (John 10:10). God’s presence becomes manifest in our lives when we intentionally seek Him.
For example, when we enter a restaurant we’ll only appreciate a waiter’s presence when they manifest in front of us offering their service. We’ll fully benefit from their presence when we walk into the same room they’re in. We can draw a comparison from this with an encounter with God—we’ll fully experience an encounter with Him when we awaken to His presence. We’ll be present in the presence of God because He is available.

We need to be accounted for in the present moment so we can maximise our power of it. The only way to get back at all the pain and brokenness from our past is to promise ourselves a beautiful future that will make us forget all the pain we’ve endured. We can be all-in to reinvent ourselves and fully flourish when we’re planted in God. His presence will water the seeds He’s deposited in us. This also means that we can only praise and worship God in our current moment for all He has established for our life in eternity.
With this in mind, God will give our future in incremental steps and each moment has to be played out organically. With no distractions from that moment stems power and direction to drive our momentum. In the same breath, how we perceive our moments will change our lives and the thoughts we think in those moments will play out our destinies. We’ll need to guard the flow of our minds and eject any foreign thoughts that try to spring up by reminding ourselves of the truth.
Real power is available when we’re fully present
Many people are unavailable to the future that stares at them, and they end up missing the power of that moment. We’ll only experience real power when we’re fully present, and this power will shift every paradigm and change the trajectory of our life. This is why healing from brokenness is so important because we don’t have to be crippled by pain when we’re doing destiny moments.
Whether it is peace, provision, wisdom, or strategy, the insight we need to navigate is in the present moment. This means that we have to constantly align our thinking with God’s perfect reality and move in the same rhythm heaven has ordained for us.
